Site Updates
April 10th 2008 Posted by: AAL121 Jason Pharis

I apologize for the lack of site updates lately. I was sent to Japan for a bit and other outside factors prevented me from spending much time on here. Expect some good updates to the site in the near future. See ya in the skies!

Wednesday Washout
January 10th 2008 Posted by: AAL100 Ryan Cummins

Gents,

You've decided! Our first route for our Wednesday Washout event will be from KDFW to KDEN. Remember, the event's target landing time will be between 0100z-0300z (7pm-9pm CST).

The flight is between 2hrs and 2hrs05mins long, so plan to leave sometime between 2255z and 0100z (4:55pm and 7pm CST).

The real world flights are done in MD80's, MD83's, and B738's, but you can fly in any aircraft you wish as long as it's within your CAT rating.

Here is the suggested route:

FERRA2.CDS BGD TODDE.QUAIL5

For those not equipped to fly RNAV departuers, fly this:

WORTH5.CDS BGD TODDE.QUAIL5

Information about the event can also be found in the DFW Forums here--> http://www.joinava.org/smf/index.php?topic=7720.0

Please come out and show your support!

Wednesday Washout is back!
December 4th 2007 Posted by: AAL100 Ryan Cummins

Come out one Wednesday every month and fly a group flight chosen by YOU! Every month, 5 options will be posted for you to vote on. At the end of the poll, the winning route will be the one flown for the following event and it will be posted immediately. Although this is a DFW hub-inspired event, ALL pilots are more than welcome to participate! The current poll will last until January 2, 2008 and the results will be announced by the 3rd. The first actual event will take place 7pm and 9pm CST (0100z-0300z), Wednesday, January 9, 2008. So, get your votes in and we hope to see you there!

October News
October 30th 2007 Posted by: AAL121 Jason Pharis
Hello fellow pilots! I have implemented part of the flight line system. Check it out here. There are 5 total flight lines currently. Right now I am going to improve the interface and add functionality to the right utility boxes before moving on to implement a more dynamic system. In the mean time please provide me any feedback you have including what kind of flight lines you would like to see!

The hub staff has been busy planning out the rest of the year. Stay tuned for more news on DFW Hub events and let us know if you have any ideas for events of your own!

Welcome to the New Hub Webpage!
September 9th 2007 Posted by: AAL121 Jason Pharis
This site is still in very early stages as we have much planned to add to the website. This is my first website built from scratch that I have done in a while and I am refreshing my memory on Javascript and PHP. The Hub staff and I have thought of a lot of features that I hope to add in the near future to the website so stay tuned as this site evolves!

Also if anyone out there has any skills in graphic design and wants to help out the site please let me know. I am amateur at best with photoshop so I would love some help in that department.

Finally if you have any comments and feedback or want to share an idea for the website please email me at rollingrock16@gmail.com. See you in the skies!

Greetings to all DFW-based Flight Crews!
August 2nd 2007 Posted by: AAL100 Ryan Cummins
CAT Restrictions are back into effect as of August 1st, 2007. Also, our first ever, and hopefully, first annual DFW Hub Picture Day is coming up Saturday, August 18. It will begin at 1600 CDT (2100Z) and you can expect it to last at least an hour. For those that wish to participate, please e-mail Don or I to confirm which aircraft you'll wish to show up in. Please read the e-mails and forum posts for more information. Also, for those that wish to join in, after the event, we'll be having a DFW Hub Group Flight from KDFW to KSTL with ATC at both ends! So, stay tuned and we hope to see you there!

As always, if any of you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me and/or Don Marsh at dfwhm@joinava.org and/or dfwahm@joinava.org respectively.
